Christmas and New Year Greetings from Autism VictoriaThis has been a very hectic year for Autism Victoria. With the introduction of the Helping Children with Autism program through to an ever increasing demand on our support services the year has been filled with high demand and an ever increasing workload on the staff. It has also been a year in which the Autism State Plan has been launched, Government has contributed a small amount of money to new initiatives within the Autism sector through the budget process and Autism Victoria has relocated to larger and more convenient premises in Carlton. There is still much to do and in the coming year Autism Victoria will be putting much energy into developing new action plans for adult and adolescent services, pursuing more appropriate accommodation options for adults along with new employment opportunities. Right now however is a time for all involved with Autism Victoria to focus our energies on family and friends. A time to reflect on the year past and to start planning for the year ahead. With this in mind everyone at Autism Victoria would like to take this opportunity to wish all our eSpectrum readers a very Merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year. This can be a stressful time but can also be a time of great joy and happiness and we sincerely wish all readers a time of great joy and happiness. Please enjoy the festive season and we look forward to renewing our commitment and support to all in 2010. From All the Staff and Board of Autism Victoria
