Media
Do you want some accurate, information and comment for a news story?
The way the media represents Autism Spectrum Disorder is important to the way the community views it, and therefore to the way it is resourced and supported.
Autism Victoria aims to raise awareness of the complexity of Autism Spectrum Disorders. We do this by providing journalists with information about real people and their circumstances.
We encourage the media to learn more about what can be done to help people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families and carers live better lives and to fairly and accurately represent their situation.
Please contact the Government Liaison and Public Relations Officer, Meredith Ward for access to press releases and/or interviews with families. Meredith can also be contacted on 0400 226 408. For answers to questions about Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Autism Victoria services, please contact Amanda Golding by email or phoning the Autism Victoria office - 9885 0533.
