Members

Become a Member of Autism Victoria

Membership is open to families, individuals, schools, service agencies, professionals - in fact anyone with an interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders.  An annual subscription fee is charged.

A Membership Subscription costs $22.00 (Pension Card holders and full time students), $44.00 (Families, individuals and non-funded support groups) and $55.00 (Professionals and funded agencies).  Overseas membership costs $AUD44.00. 

The Concession Membership Subscription has been introduced to assist families and individuals whose primary source of income is a Centrelink pension, or those who are full time students.  The concession rate is not available to Health Care Card holders, or to part time students.  Proof of eligibility is required.

Membership Subscriptions are payable every twelve months.  For Australian members the subscription fee includes GST.

Information and Support Services Survey 2006

One of Autism Victoria's important roles is providing information and support services to Victorian families.  To help do this more effectively, users of Autism Victoria services were invited to complete a survey.  It was a short survey asking for some background information (to form a demographic profile of service users), services used and user's opinions about access, value and quality of those services.

The Executive Committee and staff of Autism Victoria would like to thank the many members who responded.  A condensed version of the data and information obtained in in the attached pdf document.  Staff are slowly working through the list of respondents who requested contact to discuss their concerns and suggestions personally.  Many of the suggestions will be progressively implemented over the coming year.

 

Affiliate Membership

Affiliates or Organisational Members are independent agencies who provide specialist Autism Spectrum Disorder services in Victoria.

Affiliate Membership costs $275 per annum and is available by application only.

Benefits include:

  • A position on the Autism Victoria governing body, State Council

  • Multiple copies of The Spectrum

  • Acknowledgement in all publications as an Organisational Member of Autism Victoria

  • Reduced fees for staff to most Autism Victoria events

  • Inclusion in all Autism Spectrum Disorder policy development and consultation activities

  • Profile on the Autism Victoria web site.
