Information Support Officer - Elen Thomas
We are delighted to welcome Elen Thomas as our Information Support Officer, the voice on the end of the Info line here at Autism Victoria.
Elen has recently moved back to this side of the world from England where she spent the last 7 years working, travelling and wishing for a White Christmas.
Elen has had many exciting roles throughout her career in the field of Autism working with both Adults and Children. She has expereinced a variety of therapies services and school settings to get a very broad and personal perspective of the services available to individuals who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. These therepies included mainstream schools, specialist schools, ABA, LOVAAS, and home schooling. This has given her a good base of knowledge about the types of services, how it works and how it effects those who are involved in it, both service users and service providers. Elen spent a few years with the National Autistic Society, learning a lot about the history of Autism, where we are at now, as well as how bright the future looks.
